According to http://gallifreynewsbase.blogspot.com/ we have 14 days, 20 hours and 41 minutes until the 11th Doctor debuts on the ABC.
UK televisions will be broadcasting the same episode, entitled The Eleventh Hour, in just 4 hours and 30 minutes. Lucky brits.
I’ll have to sit around for a few more hours to download and watch the latest episode of Doctor Who.
The wait has been cruel since we saw John Simm’s Master thwart the Time Lords and leave Tenant’s Doctor to die of nasty radiation in a booth.
While fans of the series have been mourning Tenant’s regeneration, they are also sceptical of the future of the series with Matt Smith at the helm of the TARDIS.
His fashion sense has been criticised (tweed jacket!) as well as his youthfulness (27 years of age). Also, Matt Smith has an epic task ahead of him: he has Tenant die-hards to convince.
Just as well the new head-writer, Stevan Moffat, is respected among the Whovians. Moffat’s contribution to the ‘new Who’ has been awesome from the creepy ‘are you my Mummy’ episodes to the clever introduction of future/past companion River Song.
Exciting times are ahead.
